Wednesday, Oct. 5, students have the opportunity to meet prospective employers and graduate schools at the Career & Graduate School Expo.

It was Spring Break 2018, and while other college students were gearing up for a beach vacation, Courtney Boyle was off to Los Angeles for a study away trip with six Flagler classmates and professors Yvan Kelly and Allan Marcil. The objective was to learn more about the entertainment industry. But for Boyle, it would be the chance to see what would eventually be her future workplace: “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

A new tradition is unfolding for Flagler College seniors. This year, graduating seniors enjoyed the first Baccalaureate ceremony, followed by a Senior Celebration. The Baccalaureate reception allowed seniors to celebrate their achievements with the professors and faculty members who aided in their success during their time at the college.

Legacy has deep roots, and the Ringhaver family planted theirs in the earliest days of Flagler College. “In the 60s, my dad and a couple other businessmen were approached by Lawrence Lewis,” Trustee Emeritus Randy Ringhaver said.

On Oct. 27, from 4 to 7 p.m., the voices of ambition filled the room as students gathered for Flagler College Student Professional Development Roundtable, a signature event designed to bridge classrooms and careers.

This year, the Student Accounting Society (SAS) continues to make an impact on Flagler College’s business program community through professional development, networking, and hands-on opportunities for students pursuing accounting and finance degrees.
