Scholarships By Category

Annual and Endowed Scholarships

There are several scholarships available on a year-to-year basis. These scholarships are provided by individuals or organizations which specify the eligibility requirements. Those requirements vary widely and include such things as academic record, need, major, intended career, and area of residency. Please note: full-time enrollment is required for all Flagler College institutional scholarships.

Presidential Merit Scholarships

All students (domestic and international) are automatically considered for merit scholarships. Factors considered include the student’s weighted core GPA and their highest overall test scores (if submitted). Some students may not be eligible for a Presidential Scholarship, but those who are will be notified of the amount in their acceptance letter.

First-Year students, if eligible, can receive between $1,000 and $6,000 per academic year. Transfer students, if eligible, can receive between $2,000 and $6,000 per academic year.

First-year and transfer student-athletes who are offered an athletic scholarship at Flagler by the coach can receive a maximum merit scholarship of $2,000 per academic year if eligible.

Flagler Hope Scholarship

Flagler College awards incoming freshmen who are Georgia residents who qualify for the aforementioned Presidential Scholarship an amount of $3,000 per academic year.

Flagler Palmetto Scholarship

Flagler College awards $3,000 per academic year to incoming freshmen who are South Carolina residents and qualify for the aforementioned Presidential Scholarship.

Flagler Ponce de Leon Scholarship

Flagler College offers these first-year Ponce de Leon Scholarships as part of our diversity mission.

Flagler Castillo Scholarship

Flagler College awards a Flagler Castillo Scholarship of $3,000 per academic year to incoming first-year students who graduated from St. Johns or Duval County high schools.

Flagler College is a participating member of Tuition Exchange. This scholarship is open to children of employees at participating member schools. More than 500 colleges participate, and students accepted into this program receive a grant for our full tuition charge. (Florida residents receive full tuition less the EASE)

To be a candidate for a TE scholarship, a family member must be an eligible employee at a participating institution and certified (sponsored) by the sending institution. Once this is done, the normal admissions process is followed and an application for a TE scholarship is sent by the liaison officer at the sponsoring institution to the school(s) considering the candidate. Awards are competitive and not automatic.

As an NCAA Division II institution, athletic scholarships are awarded at the coaches' discretion in the following sports: baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross-country, men's and women's golf, men’s and women’s lacrosse, men's and women's soccer, softball, men's and women's tennis, and volleyball.
