French Certificate

If you are a current Flagler College student studying French, consider adding a French certificate to your studies.

The certificate program will take you on a journey of discovery, supercharge your major, and leave you with a credential that employers value. Learn more below.

Program Requirements

A French Certificate can lead to amazing new adventures while building your list of college accomplishments! The certificate program includes a three-week, immersive experience in Nantes, France.

You'll be led by caring, inspiring faculty as you discover the French language and culture in person and earn a credential at the end of your learning. Students can choose from this experience or a 300-level French course on campus.

Besides giving you language skills, a French Certificate can also supercharge your degree if you have a major or minor that can benefit from a second language.

That includes programs like Hospitality and Tourism Management, Education, International Business, International Studies, History, Anthropology, Liberal Arts, and Medieval and Early Modern Studies.

If you take French, you can get your certificate after completing 15 credit hours and a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0.

You can also take a Placement Test and be awarded up to six credit language hours toward the certificate if you complete a higher-level Flagler class with a B or better.

The certificate is available only to full-time, degree-seeking students of Flagler College. It is not available for heritage or native speakers. Ready to start your exciting new journey? Find a list of all your courses below.
