Why Live at Flagler?

There are many great reasons to stay on campus as a returning student.

  • Your people, right outside your door. The friends, RAs, and campus events that shaped your first year are a hallway away.
  • Close to class and support. Academic resources, dining, and campus services are a short walk, not a commute.
  • Move-in ready. Every room comes furnished, and rooms in FEC Towers and Sebastian Hall have private baths.
  • No apartment hunt. No landlord to manage and no search in a tight rental market.

Juniors and Seniors: You've met your residency requirement, so staying is your choice. Queen beds in doubles and King beds in singles, is ready when you are.

The WELL (FEC - C, 2nd floor) is a living-learning community focused on wellness. All-Inclusive Housing lets roommates and suitemates of different genders live together. Indicate interest on your application. If you're matching with a roommate, you both need to opt in.

Right after you pick your room, you'll also get to select your own meal plan in eRezLife. If you don't choose, you're placed on the Unlimited plan.

Plan Per semester Per year
VIP Unlimited $4,125 $8,250

Block 150 (Sebastian residents only) $2,485 $4,970

After you submit your application, click Roommate Groups in eRezLife, name your group, and add friends by Flagler email. Everyone in the group must have completed their application and be the same gender and class year. Each person confirms by selecting My Choice. You'll see a green checkmark when you're done, so you know you're good to go.

If you're still looking, you can also create a RoomeeZ profile so other students can find you.

On selection day, only one person selects the room and assigns beds. Everyone chooses their own meal plan.

Your student completes the housing application in eRezLife. Only they can do that step.

Families can pay the $150 housing application fee online.

Residency Requirement Exemptions

Students who meet one or more of the exemption criteria for the Fall Term on or before August 1, or for the Spring Term on or before January 1, may submit a Residency Exemption and Contract Cancellation Request Form through eRezLife.

The Housing Contract Exemption Committee reviews all requests and supporting documentation before making a determination. All approved residency exemptions are subject to the applicable cancellation fee schedule.

Students who have not satisfied the residency requirement and do not currently meet any exemption criteria will not be granted an exemption. These students must complete a housing application and reside on campus in accordance with College policy.

Students who are required to live on campus under the two-year residency requirement and fail to complete a housing application will be assigned campus housing and assessed the associated housing and meal plan charges for each semester of the applicable academic year.

Housing Contract Cancellations

The housing contract is binding for the full academic year. Students experiencing extenuating circumstances beyond their control may appeal for a contract cancellation by completing the Residency Exemption and Contract Cancellation Request Form through eRezLife and providing appropriate supporting documentation.

Students must receive approval from the Committee before signing a lease or making any off-campus housing arrangements. Do not sign a lease or make other commitments until you have received official approval. Signing a lease does not guarantee that your appeal will be approved.

The Housing Contract Exemption Committee will review the appeal and determine whether a cancellation will be approved. All approved cancellations remain subject to the deadlines and fees outlined in the Cancellation Fee Schedule.

FAQs

Rising sophomores are guaranteed housing on campus. There are plenty of housing opportunities available for juniors and seniors as well, and Residence Life always attempts to provide a room to every student who needs one.

Single rooms make up a small amount of upperclass spaces. Students with a medical need for a single can request an ADA accommodation through the Disability Resource Center.

If you don't get your first choice, our room change request list opens on April 1. Mid-semester room changes are also possible after the first two weeks of the semester, based on open spaces.

Renters Insurance isn't required, but it's strongly recommended. Flagler partners with GradGuard to offer affordable coverage.

The housing contract is binding for the academic year. If you're facing circumstances beyond your control though, you can submit the Residency Exemption and Contract Cancellation Request Form in eRezLife. Approved cancellations are subject to the fee schedule.
