About Flagler College

The Evidence
Flagler College brings together students from across the United States and around the world on one of the most extraordinary campuses in America - the landmark Ponce de León Hotel, built by industrialist Henry Flagler in the heart of St. Augustine, America's oldest city.
Flagler's signature Core Experience - built around nearly 200 faculty-created courses and more than 50 majors and minors - challenges students to think critically, engage deeply, and connect what they care about to what they want to do. With a 13:1 student-to-faculty ratio, faculty don't just teach here. They mentor, challenge, and invest in every student by name. At this scale, access to research, leadership, and meaningful academic opportunity isn't competitive - it's built in.
FlagSHIP, Flagler's sophomore high-impact practice, sends 100% of students into the world through study abroad, real-world immersions, and community-based partnerships. Alumni call it the most transformative part of their Flagler experience. The outcomes reflect it - 90% of graduates are employed, interning, or pursuing advanced degrees within six months.
Beyond the classroom, Flagler students enjoy a campus and city that are equally alive. Downtown St. Augustine is a 5 to 15-minute walk from campus. The waterfront dock, outdoor pool, and fire pits anchor a campus culture that's relaxed but serious - the kind of place where the work matters and the people stick. With more than 60 clubs and organizations, student government, a campus radio station at WFCF 88.5 FM, and The Gargoyle student newspaper, there's no shortage of ways to get involved, find your people, and make the experience your own.
If you're ready to engage fully, with your studies, your community, and an environment unlike any other in Florida, Flagler is built for you. Families will find a partner in that journey every step of the way.
Flagler alumni live around the world. They are fierce and lead new ideas wherever they roam—from small businesses to cutting-edge companies. They embody the entrepreneurial spirit of Henry Flagler. In addition to that individual impact, we’re also talking about institutional impact. Flagler College is a small college with big guts.
