Spring End of Semester Move-Out Information

Let your RA know during your check-out appointment so they can make note! Any keys not returned at check-out will be charged as a lost or replacement key. We will not accept keys mailed in after check-out.

Please Note: The cost of a lost or not returned key is $200.

After your check-out is complete, return your key!

Where is the Key Box Located for my Building?

Residents can return their room keys in the building drop boxes or Security.

• Ponce: 1st East in the Vending Room
• Lewis: Lobby, Right of the Security Desk
• Cedar: Lobby, Left of the Security Desk
• FEC: Commons, by Security
• Sebastian: A-Tower Lobby

Yes! Check Out Appointments are required! Your RA will reach out to you in the weeks leading up to closing with information on how to sign up for a Check-Out Time. Plan to schedule your Check Out Appointment when your room is clear and clean and you are ready to move out!  

RAs will be hosting Floor Meetings April 15-24! Reach out to your RA for your floor date, time, and location. 

RAs are students, too! They have finals and will be blocking off time they are unable to complete a check-out.

If your RA isn’t free:

Sign up with another RA on the Floor or in the building! Your RA should be able to provide you with a link to their floor/building partner

Call the RA on Duty - 8:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M.

• Complete an Express Check-Out: drop the key in the box, but waive your right to appeal damages!

To prepare your room for check out, please review the Check-Out Checklist:

• Pack all your items
• Defrost and clean your microfridge
• Remove all trash & recycling
• Remove posters & decorations from walls
• Empty closets, desks, & drawers
• Windows should be clean and free of curtain rods, etc.
• Furniture wiped down, including the inside of drawers, desk top
• Sweep floor & mop, if necessary
• Clean the bathroom: shower, sink, toilet bowl
• Properly disposed trash & recycling
• Set thermostat appropriately to 72-75 Auto-Setting

Let your RA know IMMEDIATELY! Please communicate! You can also find a new time to check out with an RA based on your new plans.

No, Maymester and Summer Residents will stay in their Spring Assignment until the Spring to Summer Transition day, June 1st.

Quiet hours begin 10:00 P.M. on Friday, May 1st. There will be no warning issued from RAs or Security for noise violations. Be respectful to your community and neighbors as they prepare for finals.
