What are your central passion(s), and how do you plan to pursue them after graduation? How have your experiences at Flagler shaped these passions?

When I am asked this question, the first thing that comes to mind is my experience as a CrossFit coach. Luckily, being a coach never felt like a job to me; it felt like a privilege and honor to be part of other people’s journeys to becoming the best version of themselves. There is nothing more rewarding than having an athlete tell you that you’ve made a positive impact on their health and fitness journey.

Who or what inspired your passion in this area?

Dr. Behl helped me further this passion with her health and wellness and personal training classes. She always helped me become the best student I could be, so I could take that knowledge and help others.

Can you share a memorable story from your time at Flagler that always makes you smile? What made this moment special for you?

My best days at Flagler College were the days spent at the beach with all of my closest friends (after class, of course.) I have never experienced another place where you can finish a noon class and then go enjoy a beautiful beach day with all your favorite people. This will always feel like such a happy and special memory to me :)

Which academic resources, experiences, or mentors at Flagler were most valuable to you, and how did they contribute to your success?

I didn’t know I needed a small school until I was at a small school and realized it’s EXACTLY what I needed. The small classes & personal connections you are able to build with your professors are unlike any other school. The professors at Flagler College really care about you, and in my opinion, that is rare to find at colleges. Specifically, Dr. McNiff & Dr. Ryder have been my biggest supporters since day one at Flagler. Whenever I asked them for help, they would be there for me, and they’d want to help!! Not only that, but they believed in me and pushed me to become a great student.

What advice or lesson would you give to your freshman year self about the college experience?

My biggest piece of advice I’d give my freshman year self is to put yourself out there and don’t be afraid to go for opportunities that feel out of reach. When you put yourself out there, you can truly do anything. Don’t be afraid of what others will think, stay true to your personal values, and you will be just fine!

In the Flagler spirit, how do you hope to make history after graduation? Share any exciting experiences, professional positions, or unique opportunities you have lined up.

My long-term goal down the line is to open a CrossFit gym. I absolutely love the CrossFit community & there’s nothing more I could ask for than the opportunity to inspire others to get started on their fitness journey. As of today, I am working for SMT and have a lot of exciting trips planned for the next few months!! After graduation, I will leave to go to Paris for the French Open for a month. After that, I will return to Wimbledon to help with event operations. I am beyond excited to see what the future holds.
