Sexual Assault Awareness Month began on April 1, and this year marks its 21st anniversary. Flagler College's Title IX office is hosting multiple events on campus throughout the month to highlight the importance of sexual assault awareness and prevention.

For the eighth consecutive year, Flagler College is one of 44 NCAA Division II member institutions to be honored as part of the Presidents’ Award for Academic Excellence for achieving a four-year Academic Success Rate of 90 percent or higher. This is the 12th year of the program.

Flagler College was recently awarded the Gold Level Award for 2022 Healthiest Companies by the First Coast Worksite Wellness Council (FCWWC) for creating a culture of health and wellness within the organization. Award recipients were honored at the Annual First Coast Worksite Wellness Conference on June 8, 2022, at the University of North Florida.

The Gargoyle, Flagler’s student-run newspaper, placed in two categories for the Society of Professional Journalists 2022 Sunshine State Awards and was a finalist in five categories for the 2022 SPJ Region 3 Mark of Excellence Awards.

Beverly Copeland Carmichael ‘72, affectionately known as 'Bev,’ has been a cornerstone of Flagler College's prosperity since her days as one of its pioneering students.

Flagler College recognized five exceptional staff members with the 2025 President’s Award during a ceremony held June 12. The annual award celebrates employees who go above and beyond their daily responsibilities, demonstrating outstanding performance and commitment to the College’s core values.

This is Flagler’s first time achieving the Platinum Level. Award recipients were honored at the Annual First Coast Worksite Wellness Conference on May 8, 2024, at the Florida Blue Conference Center.

For more than a decade, Florine Démosthène has explored the concept of love that we all chase but never fully understand through conversations with close friends and strangers from her travels. “As I reflected on a lot of the conversations I had over the years, it’s always a battle between a religious version of love, a traditional version of love, and a modern version of love,” she said.
