Community engagement was a defining practice throughout Amuk Tong’s Flagler College Journey.

This year, Flagler College is welcoming more than 800 saints to their new home-away-from-home and Resident Advisors (RAs) play a crucial role in creating that community.

Jess Kobryn serves at the Flagler College Senior Director of Institutional Equity as well as the Title IX Coordinator and 504 Coordinator. Starting in the office of Student Affairs, Kobryn has been committed to ensuring fairness and inclusivity within the institution for nearly 12 years.

The Flagler College Commencement Ceremony was especially momentous for the Class of 2024 who emerged from high school during a global pandemic. For most, it was the first time they’d donned a cap and gown or crossed a graduation stage.

At heart, Carly Shaw said she’s an environmentalist with a particular passion for protecting coastlines like the one she grew up on in Ocean City, N.J.

Gary Johnson serves as Flagler College’s dedicated patrolling officer and liaison with the St. Augustine Police Department (SAPD).
