This fall, three Flagler College education students embarked on a transformative three-week teaching adventure in Germany. 

Jessica Howell is the Assistant Dean for Global Education and International Partnerships and an Associate Professor of History at Flagler College, with over 20 years of experience in higher education.

Senior Lilly Dietz’s passion for understanding the problems homeless people face began well before she took Flagler’s “Global Issues and the Pulitzer Center” course, where she earned a prestigious Pulitzer Fellowship to explore the topic further.

Flagler College’s Health & Wellness Department adopts an integrative approach, recognizing the crucial role of health and wellness in student success.

The course called “Africa and Development: The Tanzania Experience” was led by Adjunct Instructor Lisa Fiala and introduced students to the African nation through cultural immersion and exploration of development work taking place there.

Flagler College students took to Sweden for an immersive study abroad experience preparing them to be the next change makers in social innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainability.

Jess Kobryn serves at the Flagler College Senior Director of Institutional Equity as well as the Title IX Coordinator and 504 Coordinator. Starting in the office of Student Affairs, Kobryn has been committed to ensuring fairness and inclusivity within the institution for nearly 12 years.

Ben Atkinson, Assistant Professor of Natural Sciences, instructs students on topics like ecology, environmental science & sustainability, and evolutionary biology.
