Addressing modern student challenges with expanded wellness resources Flagler College’s Health & Wellness Department adopts an integrative approach, recognizing the crucial role of health and wellness in student success. A cultural immersion in Tanzania The course called “Africa and Development: The Tanzania Experience” was led by Adjunct Instructor Lisa Fiala and introduced students to the African nation through cultural immersion and exploration of development work taking place there. Studying entrepreneurship and education in Sweden Flagler College students took to Sweden for an immersive study abroad experience preparing them to be the next change makers in social innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainability. Staff Spotlight: Jess Kobryn Jess Kobryn serves at the Flagler College Senior Director of Institutional Equity as well as the Title IX Coordinator and 504 Coordinator. Starting in the office of Student Affairs, Kobryn has been committed to ensuring fairness and inclusivity within the institution for nearly 12 years. New partnership with German university strengthens Flagler’s global academic network A new pathway for global academic exchange was formalized this week as Flagler College signed a memorandum of understanding with Germany’s Ansbach University of Applied Sciences. Students Explore Issue of Water Scarcity Through Study Abroad to Middle East From impeding on their food sources to creating issues with bringing clean water into the household, the Middle Eastern country of Jordan has been learning how to navigate these impacts through scientific solutions and communicating the need for change to their people.
