Jess Kobryn serves at the Flagler College Senior Director of Institutional Equity as well as the Title IX Coordinator and 504 Coordinator. Starting in the office of Student Affairs, Kobryn has been committed to ensuring fairness and inclusivity within the institution for nearly 12 years.

This week, Flagler College alum Ashleigh Glickley set sail for a month-long exploration of deep-sea biodiversity in Pacific waters near the Johnston Atoll, but her teacher duties weren’t left ashore.

This past fall, new students began taking classes in Flagler College’s newly launched Core Curriculum, which replaced the old General Education program.

After graduating from Flagler College, many alumni choose to stay in the region, pursuing their passions and making the community an even more vibrant place to live.

When students show up for Flagler’s Advanced Child Psychology course, it’s rarely in a campus classroom. More often they’re found at local preschools where they’re gaining real-world experience while serving as a resource for students and teachers.

A 2014 Coastal Environmental Science trip to Bermuda was the catalyst for a young working relationship between Flagler and Bermuda College that was made official through the signing of an articulation agreement last month.

This week, students from Flagler’s Deaf Awareness Club worked with faculty and staff to celebrate International Week of the Deaf with education, activities and fellowship.
