Have you ever wondered why we study sociology? It's to understand why humans behave the way we do. Our Sociology Program is crafted to help you discover the science behind social interaction. Our caring faculty teach in small classes and get you ready to work in a fascinating field. We also encourage real-world experience with internships and independent research.

Program Requirements
Each sociology course has a purpose. Your faculty will teach you foundational theories. They'll show you how to conduct research in the classroom and the field – the social world around you. You'll learn how to think critically about inequalities based on factors like race, sexual orientation, gender, and other characteristics.
With a Sociology major, you can earn a second major or two to three minors - it's up to you to decide! Don't worry. Your Academic Advisor will be there to help you plan along the way. We also offer a Sociology minor, too. We encourage internships and independent research to get you ready to work in your field or enter graduate school.
