Research

Area of Research

As an ecologist, I am interested in how species interact with one another and how they respond to their environment. Much of my work thus far has focused on the ecology of birds, particularly shorebirds and waterbirds. During my Ph.D., I studied the impact of climate change on the breeding ecology of snow geese, a long-distance migrant that nests in the Canadian Artic. Although I’ve now moved to a much warmer climate here in North Florida, I’m still interested in answering many of the same questions using our local species.
