What are your central passion(s), and how do you plan to pursue them after graduation?

I’m passionate about business strategy and accounting, particularly in the way numbers tell a story and guide decision-making. After graduation, I plan to pursue a career in public accounting and eventually take on a strategic leadership role where I can apply both my analytical and interpersonal skills. Flagler’s supportive environment and hands-on learning experiences helped shape this passion.

Who or what inspired your passion in this area?

My interest in accounting and business grew through my work at Buildings and More and Aligned, CPA, where I was exposed early to logistics, sales strategy, and marketing. Watching how well-structured planning and data-driven decisions affected real outcomes.

Can you share a memorable story from your time at Flagler that always makes you smile? What made this moment special for you?

One of the most memorable and rewarding experiences at Flagler was making a playoff run with the baseball team. The energy, commitment, and brotherhood that fueled that stretch of the season were unforgettable. Every game brought our team closer together, and the experience taught me the importance of resilience, teamwork, and maintaining focus under pressure. Thinking back on those moments always reminds me of the pride and excitement that come from chasing a shared goal with people who feel like family.

Which academic resources, experiences, or mentors at Flagler were most valuable to you, and how did they contribute to your success?

Throughout my time at Flagler, I was fortunate to have several resources and mentors who helped shape my academic and personal success, but one mentor who had a significant impact was Professor Parris. Professor Parris not only challenged me to think critically about accounting and business beyond the textbook but also pushed me to approach real-world problems with confidence. His teaching style and willingness to offer guidance inside and outside the classroom helped me develop a strong foundation. Having a mentor like Professor Parris made a lasting impression on me and helped elevate both my academic and career goals.

What advice or lesson would you give to your freshman year self about the college experience?

Don’t be afraid to get involved early and take on more than you think you can handle, because you’re capable of more than you know. Also, cherish every moment; college goes by faster than you think.

In the Flagler spirit, how do you hope to make history after graduation?

I hope to make history by becoming a leader in the accounting and business field, helping companies grow while maintaining integrity and purpose. I’m currently preparing for the next step in my career, with my internship experience and leadership roles setting the stage for professional success.
