What are your central passions, and how do you plan to pursue them after graduation?

My central passion lies in medical device sales—a field that allows me to merge my interests in healthcare, business strategy, and building meaningful human connections. At Flagler, I was able to pursue a unique academic path that integrated biology and psychology, giving me a strong foundation in understanding both the science behind human health and the behavioral aspects of patient care. Through leadership opportunities, such as restarting the Society for Advancement of Management (SAM) Club, and professional experiences, including my internship at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, I developed skills in communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking. These experiences showed me how impactful well-informed, compassionate professionals can be in fast-paced, high-stakes environments. After graduation, I plan to pursue a career in medical device sales, where I can help healthcare providers improve patient outcomes while driving innovation in a dynamic and meaningful industry.

Who or what inspired your passion in this area?

Growing up in a family with military and government backgrounds, I was taught the importance of service, discipline, and making a difference in the lives of others. Their unwavering support encouraged me to pursue a career path where I could blend purpose with performance. At 17, becoming a real estate agent sparked my love for sales and connecting with people, which only grew through my work as a promotional model. Interning at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center further inspired me by showing how psychology and biology can be applied in real-world, high-pressure situations. Studying abroad in Würzburg, Germany, expanded my global perspective and adaptability. These combined influences fueled my passion for a career that blends science, service, and sales—making medical device sales the perfect fit.

Can you share a memorable story from your time at Flagler that always makes you smile?

One of the most memorable stories from my time at Flagler College is meeting my best friends, who were German exchange students, and deciding to study abroad for a year at their home university in Würzburg, Germany. This experience stands out to me because it not only allowed me to immerse myself in a completely different culture, but it also solidified some of the most meaningful friendships I’ve ever had. It was during this year that I learned the true value of cross-cultural connections and the importance of embracing new perspectives. This moment was special because it shaped my view of the world, broadened my horizons, and taught me how to adapt and thrive in an unfamiliar environment. The friendships I formed during this time have remained a significant part of my life, and the experience ultimately influenced my career aspirations, emphasizing the importance of global connections and open-mindedness.

Which academic resources, experiences, or mentors at Flagler were most valuable to you, and how did they contribute to your success?

The academic resources at Flagler were crucial to my success, particularly the opportunity to combine my interests in biology and psychology. Professors like Professor Miller, Professor Marcil, Professor Herrera, and Mrs. Stevenson provided invaluable academic knowledge and practical insights. My mentorship with Stephanie Giannini through the Women of Vision Program, studying abroad in Würzburg, Germany, and involvement in the Honors Program and President’s Leadership Academy helped me grow academically and personally. Additionally, my leadership role in the Society for Advancement of Management (SAM) Club further strengthened my communication and teamwork skills. These experiences—combined with Flagler’s emphasis on hands-on learning—played a crucial role in shaping both my academic journey and professional aspirations, allowing me to combine my background in science with my experience in sales, business, and leadership.

What advice or lesson would you give to your freshman year self about the college experience?

I would tell my freshman self to embrace every opportunity and not be afraid to ask questions or seek help when needed. Flagler offers so many resources, and taking full advantage of them—whether it’s office hours with professors, career counseling, or leadership programs—will only enhance the college experience. And of course, don’t be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone. It’s the experiences that challenge you the most that lead to the greatest growth.

In the Flagler spirit, how do you hope to make history after graduation?

In the Flagler spirit of leadership, resilience, and service, I hope to make history by using my unique journey to inspire others to lead with purpose and push past limitations. From becoming one of the youngest licensed Realtor at 17 to interning at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and representing brands as a Promotional Model, I’ve learned the value of adaptability, communication, and hard work. My year studying abroad in Würzburg, Germany, shaped my worldview and taught me how to lead with cultural awareness and empathy. Through the Honors Program, President’s Leadership Academy, Psi Chi, Student Advisory Board, and restarting the Society for Advancement of Management, I found my voice as a leader and a collaborator. I’m stepping into the next chapter of my life, ready to grow, give back, and create opportunities that reflect the values I developed at Flagler.
