Flagler College is delighted to welcome Maggie Cao, a scholar of eighteenth and nineteenth-century American art, to Flagler College on Thursday, April 18 at 6 p.m. as a part of a Kenan Speaker Series: “Ways of Seeing Climate Change.”

The Columbia Restaurant in St. Augustine is more than a popular dining establishment. For locals, it’s a historic landmark, and for Flagler College, it’s been a pivotal community partner in elevating the opportunities available through the Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) Program.

Without studying abroad or even leaving town, students in one Flagler College course are dynamically engaging with a population they may otherwise rarely interact with: members of their grandparents’ generations.

On my first day at Flagler in the Fall 2024 semester, stepping into the College’s Center for Global Education, I couldn't help but notice Christian Lowery's infectious energy and enthusiasm. With a bright smile and a box full of books, he seemed to carry stories from around the world.

Professor Yvan Kelly began his journey with Flagler College in 1989 as an instructor of economics and a basketball coach.
