With recent student journalism awards fresh on their minds, incoming co-editors to The Flagler College Gargoyle are eager to continue the student newspaper’s successful track-record and expand the publication’s impact.

Gary Johnson serves as Flagler College’s dedicated patrolling officer and liaison with the St. Augustine Police Department (SAPD).

Jessica Howell is the Assistant Dean for Global Education and International Partnerships and an Associate Professor of History at Flagler College, with over 20 years of experience in higher education.

At Flagler College, the Karl A. Bickel and Madira Bickel Journalistic Scholarship Fund has become a beacon of opportunity for aspiring journalists.

Kip Taisey is the Tom Kenan Associate Professor of Music at Flagler College, where he directs the Music and Musical Theatre Programs in the Department of Performing Arts. He joined Flagler in the fall of 2015 after a decade-long professional acting career, including five years in New York City.
