Meet the 2025–2026 SGA Executive Board
Mia Melendez, President

A longtime member of SGA, Mia’s journey started when she attended a high school SGA conference in St. Augustine—right here on Flagler’s campus. Now, she’s leading the board as President, working closely with the administration to address student concerns, champion new initiatives, and support the Executive Board and Senate.
Big Initiative: Mia is leading efforts to provide free period products in campus bathrooms. The plan is to gather student input and begin by installing free products in bathrooms in three key buildings on campus: the Ringhaver Student Center, Kenan Hall, and the Proctor Library.
Legacy Goal: A trusted, supportive SGA that takes real action on behalf of students.
On the work of SGA: So much happens behind the scenes. Whether it’s on the governmental side or in planning events, we each spend countless hours coordinating, creating, and collaborating with College leadership.
“I want students to see SGA as a place where problems get solved—and where everyone feels welcome.”
Hannah Gerber, Chief of Staff

Hannah joined SGA to turn passion into action. She discovered SGA through its on-campus events, and it quickly became clear to her that through SGA, she could make a meaningful impact. As Chief of Staff, Hannah works behind the scenes to keep internal operations running, assist with strategic planning, and support new initiatives and events.
Legacy Goal: Meaningful, lasting, student-led change.
On the work of SGA: A lot of what we do happens behind the scenes. Whether it’s planning campus events or navigating legislative processes, our work takes time, effort, and a lot of coordination.
“We’re here because we genuinely care—and we’re willing to go the extra mile to support their needs.”
Logan Johnson, VP of Administration

As the voice behind SGA’s social media and communications, Logan is all about community, connection, and visibility. As an aspiring activist and journalist, and as someone who deeply values community and what people can do together, meeting other student leaders who’re driven towards both community and their own individual academic passions was the first thing Logan wanted to do upon arriving on campus. She is looking forward to enhancing marketing and communications for SGA this year.
Legacy Goal: Representation and visibility for LGBTQIA2S+ students in leadership.
On the Work of SGA: the work of the Student Government is, for better or worse, perpetual. Student Government also has more utility than most assume. Student Government brought us better WIFI, Student Government brought us the FEC crosswalk, and Student Government brought us dorm recycling.
“Everyone’s story matters. My goal is to help more voices be heard—and seen—on campus.”
Jose Fuentes, VP of Finance

Jose is focused on transparency and accessibility. He sees SGA as an opportunity to use his leadership and communication skills to build stronger connections across campus and help create real change. As VP of Finance, Jose reviews and organizes budget requests and assists student organizations with the funding process, while ensuring that the organization’s finances are spent responsibly. Plus, he’s already revamped SGA’s budget system, grant forms, and created instructional videos to make funding easier to understand.
Legacy Goal: A modern, transparent, and user-friendly finance process that empowers all students.
On the work of SGA: From budgeting and planning to collaboration across committees, SGA does much more than what is visible in public meetings. There is genuine dedication and effort put in every week to support the campus community.
“SGA funding should support every student’s ideas—not stand in the way of them.”
Bonnie Roberts, VP of Student Activities

Bonnie brings energy and passion into every event she puts on for students to create those special moments at Flagler. From a carnival with a Ferris wheel to late-night traditions, she’s bringing the fun and creating unforgettable student events.
Legacy Goal: Impactful programming and inspiring the next generation of student leaders.
On the work of SGA: We’ve been working all summer long, preparing to make the year great. This isn’t just a role, it’s a commitment fueled by passion. One where we are continually advocating for students and working towards a better campus.
“I hope a future SGA student is inspired because of something I did.”
Myka Wilks, VP of Volunteer Services

Myka’s all about giving back. From campus drives to community projects, she’s building service opportunities that connect Flagler and St. Augustine. Myka loves being able to make an impact for students to improve their college experience and create events and opportunities for everyone to come together to give to the community!
Legacy Goal: A campus that gives back to the community through relationships, student initiatives, and recurring volunteer events.
On the work of SGA: Our work takes a lot of time, from planning to clean up, GA, and meetings. There is so much that goes into what we do. All of it is worth it because we get to make an impact on our fellow students’ college experience.
“I want giving back to be a lasting part of Flagler’s culture.”
