After his Hall of Fame college career as pitcher and captain of the University of Pennsylvania baseball team, Jud Damon began his profession in collegiate athletics. Over the years, he has served as athletics administrator or coach at institutions in the NCAA Divisions I, II, and III, NAIA, and NCCAA. In addition, Damon has held positions in front office management with the Pittsburgh Pirates and Montreal Expos professional baseball teams.  

Since starting with Flagler College as director of athletics in 2009, the department has earned 17 regular season titles and 26 conference tournament titles. Damon has also initiated significant athletic facility enhancements at Flagler including improvements to the athletics complex, tennis center, gymnasium, and construction of the field locker room facility.   

Damon and his wife Catia have three daughters, Victoria, Abigail, and Elizabeth. 

How long have you been at Flagler College, and what is your position?  

I have been the Director of Athletics at Flagler since June of 2009. 

What do you enjoy most about working for Flagler College?  

The people I get to work with. 

Describe your hopes for the future of Flagler College in three words.  

Classical, Championship, Culture. 

What do you consider your proudest moment, personal or professional?  

My wedding day and the days my children were born. 

If you could meet anyone dead or alive, who would it be?  

Jesus. 

If you could choose anywhere to travel in the world, where would you go?
