Flagler College is pleased to announce a $350,000 commitment from Board of Trustee member and former Chairman, Rick Groux ’79, and his wife LeighAnn Groux, in support of the historic preservation of Ponce Hall.

This significant gift will play a vital role in maintaining one of Flagler’s most iconic buildings while also establishing the Groux Board Room and Groux Wing within the President’s Wing of Ponce Hall, a space that will foster collaboration and strategic planning at the highest levels of College leadership.

“The preservation of Ponce Hall is crucial to maintaining Flagler’s unique heritage and history,” noted John Delaney, president of Flagler College. “This commitment from Rick and LeighAnn is truly an investment in preserving the stories and legacies of past generations for current and future students to experience and appreciate.”

Reflecting on his time at Flagler, Rick Groux shared, “Flagler College is not just a place; it’s an enduring legacy, fostering academic excellence and student engagement. For LeighAnn and me, Ponce Hall represents the heart of the College, a reminder of its rich history and the opportunities it offers students. By supporting this initiative, we hope to ensure that future generations can experience the same sense of inspiration and history that has guided us since my days as a student.”
