This scholarship will provide assistance to students who demonstrate financial need, ensuring greater access to a Flagler education for deserving individuals. The impact of this gift will be amplified through a one-to-one matching grant provided by the William R. Kenan, Jr. Charitable Trust.
“Ed’s gift reflects his unwavering commitment to helping students succeed and thrive at Flagler College,” said Kristy Myers, Vice President for Institutional Advancement. “His generosity will create opportunities for students to achieve their academic goals while easing their financial burdens. We are deeply grateful for Ed’s dedication to the College and its students.”
A proud alumnus, Ed Lombard earned his degree in Business Administration, with a minor in Economics, from Flagler in 1997. During his time at the College, Ed was a member of the Men’s Cross-Country team and has continued to give back through his extensive leadership roles, including serving on the Alumni Board, the LEAD Fund Advisory Board, and the Saints Club Advisory Board.
Reflecting on the inspiration behind his gift, Ed shared, “My years at Flagler shaped the person I am today, and I’m honored to help current and future students access the same transformative experience. This scholarship is my way of giving back to a College that has given me so much and ensuring that more students can take advantage of the opportunities Flagler offers.”
