Make arrangements with your school’s records office to deliver your official transcripts to Flagler. If you transferred schools and are attending a school that did not include your full academic career, please have your previous institution send those transcripts on your behalf.

School officials may submit accompanying documents electronically, either through email or by using one of the following services below:

The required recommendation letter must be written by someone who knows you in an academic setting (school counselor, teacher, etc.).

School officials will receive a link to submit their recommendations electronically, but those writing letters of recommendation may also email them to admissions@flagler.edu. 

If applying via the Common Application, you can submit all required documents through the Common Application site.

Flagler College maintains a test-optional admission policy for first-year applicants.

* Submission of SAT, ACT, or CLT scores is entirely optional and is not required for admission consideration.

As part of our holistic review process, Flagler College practices a “Do No Harm” approach to standardized testing. Students who choose to submit SAT, ACT, or CLT scores can do so with the confidence that scores will only be considered if they positively support the student’s application for admission and scholarship consideration. If submitted scores are not reflective of a student’s academic potential or would negatively impact the overall review of the application, those scores will not be used in the admission decision-making process.

Applicants who do not submit SAT, ACT, or CLT scores will automatically be reviewed under the College’s test-optional policy once all other required application materials have been received. Students are not required to submit additional documentation to be considered test-optional.

Homeschooled students cannot select the test-optional path.

GED candidates cannot select the test-optional path.

All applicants from other countries whose native language is not English must demonstrate proficiency in the English language. This can be accomplished by submitting any one of the following – SAT, ACT, CLT, TOEFL, IELTS, CEFR (level B2 or higher) or passing scores in English on the GCE, GCSE, IGCSE, BGCSE, CXC, CSEC, CAPE, IB examinations, or Duolingo English Test. Official scores must be submitted with the application for admission.

The essay question differs between the Flagler application and The Common Application.

You will be able to view the Common Application essay prompts as soon as you start their process.

Flagler’s essay prompt: Flagler College strives to admit students who will excel and reach their full potential during their college experience. Please provide an essay of at least 250 words that describes a single event or a single theme that defines your character and/or your aspirations.
