About Us
Mission
The School of Liberal Arts and Sciences seeks to provide students with a challenging and rewarding multi-disciplinary educational experience that unifies the fundamental building blocks of a Liberal Arts education with experiential learning opportunities - enabling students to develop and grow in both intellectual and practical capabilities to become confident, respectful, and professionally successful in an increasingly globalized and interdependent world.
Our Vision
Our Vision
Encompassing a robust combination of traditional Liberal Arts and pre-professional programs, the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences aspires to provide an exceptional educational experience grounded in the "Applied Liberal Arts." Students will benefit from the critical thinking, writing, and research skills fundamental to a Liberal Arts education. And, they'll get a multitude of opportunities: undergraduate research, community integrated education, field schools, and internships. These tools will help them hone the practical skills and experiences that will enable and empower them to excel professionally and personally.

A Note from the Dean
Dear Students, Families, Faculty, and Staff,
Welcome to the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, where students are the heart of all we do!
Defined by a multitude of diverse disciplines — from Biology to Psychology, Education to Data Science, Politics to Religion — we are proof that you can love cats ... and dogs, too! Our mission is to create a vibrant academic program for the Applied Liberal Arts, an educational experience that facilitates and promotes collaboration between the Liberal Arts and Pre-professional programs.
To this end, we take students on a challenging but deeply rewarding academic, co-curricular, and experiential journey that seeks to build, promote, and facilitate some of Flagler's most vibrant signature programs and academic experiences. Our faculty are Teacher-Scholars committed to maximizing the student experience both in the classroom and beyond and to building an educational experience that provides students with the skills and passion to change the world and the experience and confidence to do so against the odds.
We look forward to taking this journey with you!
Sincerely,
Rachel Cremona, Ph.D.
