Ronald Edelen

Associate Professor, Graphic Design

Ron is a designer, educator, and entrepreneur. His work spans motion graphics, immersive interactive experiences, graphic design, human-centered design, and commercial storytelling.

Professional Profile

In 2007, he co-founded Myjive, a digital advertising agency that built an international client base including Fortune 500 companies. After selling the agency in 2018, Ron transitioned into academia, teaching at Jacksonville University before joining Flagler College in 2025 as an Associate Professor of Graphic Design.

He has been a key contributor to projects for major brands such as Google, Amazon, Lenovo, Netflix, and Apple TV+. His work has earned over 60 industry awards, including Addys, Tellys, Webbys, and ProAds. Most recently, Ron served as a Design Director for the Gantry at LC39, NASA's new themed land at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Center, which opened in August 2025.

Research

Ron holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Florida’s College of the Arts. He has previously served as an Adjunct Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and has published coursework on interaction design through O’Reilly Media.

He is a frequent speaker at design symposiums and has served as a juror for the Adobe Design Achievement Awards. He is a former executive member of SoDA (The Digital Agency Society) and a member of the Gator100, which recognizes the 100 fastest-growing businesses in the world owned or led by University of Florida alumni.
