Resident Advisors (RAs) are integral student leaders at Flagler College who help create a positive and supportive living environment within the residence halls. They are dedicated to enhancing the college experience by promoting community, providing resources, and fostering a sense of belonging among residents.

Responsibilities of an RA
RAs have a diverse range of responsibilities, including:
- Community Building:
- Organizing regular social events, educational workshops, and community service activities to engage residents.
- Facilitating icebreaker activities to help new residents connect with each other.
- Creating an inclusive environment where all residents feel welcome and valued.
- Support Services:
- Serving as a primary resource for residents, answering questions and providing information about campus life.
- Offering guidance on navigating college resources such as finanial aid, academic advising, and student organizations.
- Connecting residents with academic support services, such as tutoring and study groups.
- Conflict Resolution:
- Providing support and strategies for residents facing interpersonal challenges.

- Emergency Response:
- Being trained to respond to emergencies, including medical incidents, fire alarms, or safety concerns.
- Assisting residents in understanding emergency procedures and protocols for their safety.

- Educating residents about college policies and the importance of maintaining a respectful community.
Location
RAs are located on each floor in each residence hall. Each hall has RAs who are available for support and guidance. Residents can find their RA in the common areas or in their rooms.
Support Services
RAs provide a wide array of support services, including:
- Academic Resources:
- Facilitating access to academic advising and support services.
- Organizing study sessions and providing resources for time management and exam preparation.
- Mental Health Support:
- Offering information about counseling services available on campus, including individual and group therapy options.
- Promoting mental health awareness events and wellness workshops.

- Encouraging residents to get involved in student organizations, clubs, and campus events.
