Taking An Active Role In Your Financial Wellness

Create a monthly budget that is personalized and based on your income, expenses, wants and needs. Check your credit report annually and maintain awareness of your credit score. If you have student loans, explore the different options for loan repayment.

DRC Scholarship
It awards an academic scholarship of $1,500 in fall and spring semesters for two consecutive academic years (total of $6,000 per student), contingent on the student maintaining a minimum 2.5 GPA before the start of each semester.

A local organization that raises money and provides scholarships for disadvantaged St. Johns County residents

Organization working with community partners to stabilize vulnerable households working on self-sufficiency through education, employment, and advocacy

Transportation

St. Augustine Bike Share
St. Augustine provides 100 GPS-enabled e-bikes throughout the city. Riders will be able to use an app to locate bikes at mobility hubs throughout the city and may use a variety of payment options to ride on a daily, monthly, or annual basis.

St. Augustine Rider (STAR)
This free bus service, funded through a Florida Department of Transportation grant and operated by Historic Tours of America’s Old Town Trolley, will provide circular transportation around the downtown core, starting at the Visitor Information Center (VIC), located at 10 S. Castillo Drive, near the clocktower.

The Sunshine Bus Company
The Sunshine Bus Company provides public transportation to a wide range of known origins/destinations necessary for everyday living. Fares are $2.00 (per one-way trip) or discounted to $1.00 (per one-way trip) for Seniors (60+), Persons with Disabilities, Medicare/Medicaid card holders, and Students.
