The Crisp-Ellert Art Museum and Flagler College are pleased to announce Miami-based Jillian Mayer’s forthcoming exhibition New Sincerity 2.0. The exhibition will open on Tuesday, January 18 with a walkthrough with the artist at 5 pm, followed by an opening reception until 7 pm. This event is free and open to the public, and masks are required. New Sincerity 2.0 continues through February 24.

The Crisp-Ellert Art Museum at Flagler College is pleased to announce a recent gift of the painting “Red Tulips” by Los Angeles-based painter Hilary Pecis.

Dr. Kathy Deagan sees the future of Flagler’s archaeology program as promising- brimming with potential and the enthusiasm of our students. “I have always thought that Flagler College should be one of the premier training grounds for undergraduate archeologists,” she said.

In the summer of 2022, Flagler College received funding from the state of Florida to further its efforts in classical and liberal education by establishing a Classical Institute.

It stands for Flagler Sophomore High Impact Practice, an academic initiative for second-year students that is aimed at improving the student learning experience. But at its core, it's about something even more powerful: preparing students for a diverse world, and even making a difference within it.

Of all the changes happening at Flagler College, one of the most unique will be the addition of an innovation center that promises to be much more than just a place for expensive technology and 3D printers.

When the Brown Innovation Center opened this past spring at Flagler, it wasn’t just a chance to show off the lab’s fancy 3D printers and laser cutter, but also to foster multidisciplinary collaboration across campus to find solutions for pressing challenges.

In 1964, when the doors of historically white churches in St. Augustine remained closed to African Americans, the entry to 132 Oviedo Street — then the Church of Christ - ushered in a new era of worship. For the first time in the city's history, white and Black congregants prayed together, beneath the same roof, shoulder to shoulder.

It is every basketball player's goal to play professionally. For Jaizec Lottie, '22, his dream came true when he signed with BBC Monthey-Chablais of the Swiss Basketball League (SBL).

For Flagler alumnus Justin Bergh, ‘04, sports have always been about community. Bergh has had a deep appreciation for sports, long before he became General Manager of CrossFit in 2022.
