First student begins Flagler Fast Track Master's program in Deaf Education The Flagler Fast Track Master's program was started at Flagler College to give undergraduate Deaf Education majors an opportunity to pursue higher education related to their specific field of study. Students can begin taking courses for their Master's degree while in the undergraduate program, saving them both time and money. Spencer Hooker: Driven to Make a Difference Ask Spencer Hooker to name everything he's worked on in his short time at Flagler College, and he has to take a long pause to really think about it. Remembering Dean Robert Carberry Robert F. Carberry, who was dean of Flagler College for 19 years and taught political science for eight years, passed away on Aug. 13, 2021, one day after his 90th birthday. Della Rosenberg Legacy Continues to Grow Lifelong educator Della Rosenberg, who passed away in 2017 at the age of 100, believed in the power of teaching. She devoted her life to the profession since 1940 and was named Teacher of the Century at Bradford High School's 100th anniversary celebration. Flagler Youth Ministry Program receives $1 million grant from Lilly Endowment Flagler College’s Youth Ministry program has received a $1 million grant from the Lilly Endowment Inc. to begin a new program called “The Missing Voices Project” that will look for new ways to reach young people who are on the margins of society, culture and even the church.
