Flagler’s newest class is mighty in numbers, talent and optimism.

As we recognize the 457th birthday of St. Augustine on September 8, 2022, we talked with alumna, faculty member and St. Augustine Historical Society member Jeanette Vigliotti.

Last week, campus came to life again as we greeted three classes of returning students and 906 new faces to Flagler.

Maya Angelou once famously stated that “people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” This is exactly what comes to mind when Ronnie Nichols ’97 and Rachel Wootten ’98 think of Delores Rutledge Love, a former Dining-Hall employee at Flagler College.

Two convocation ceremonies welcomed Flagler’s class of 2026 to campus Tuesday.

On the 58th anniversary of a Civil Rights sit-in that took place at the Hotel Ponce de Leon, students, faculty, staff and community leaders unveiled a marker at Flagler College commemorating the significance of that day.

After a couple of twists and turns in the film and television business, Flagler alumna Meredith Brace Sloss, ‘07, landed at none other than Lucasfilm, home to “Star Wars” and, of course, Baby Yoda.
