AIGA Flagler Design Week is a series of programs exploring the design process, craft, and practice. Our mission is to increase appreciation and awareness of design, showcase industry professionals' talents, highlight our alums's accomplishments, and provide a further understanding of the business side of design. The week closes with a day of tours of design agencies.

Forget White Subway Tile! Workshop
1:30 pm - 2:30 pm
Forget white subway tile! For centuries, cultures have expressed their love of color and texture through ceramic tiles in homes and public spaces. This hands-on workshop will show you how to translate your graphic design skills into stunning, one-of-a-kind 3D works of art.
Students will see examples of tile through the centuries and where tile making is heading in the future. This workshop will provide students with the basics of clay handling, including using texture, building up, and removing clay to create a unique six-inch tile. A brief discussion on production tiles and various finishes will also be provided. Finished tiles will be high-fired and available to the students three weeks after the workshop.

This interactive session allows you to ask questions about coursework, internships, portfolios, job searches, and personal experiences in the field. Seniors will share tips on time management, creative growth, and industry expectations, guiding you as you navigate your journey. Whether you're curious about software, project critiques, or career paths, this panel is your chance to connect with those with firsthand experience. Graphic Design Roundtable Discussions

The Visual Arts Advisory Board Roundtables bring together industry professionals, alums, and faculty for focused discussions on the evolving landscape of art and design education. These collaborative sessions provide a forum for dialogue on emerging trends, workforce needs, and innovative practices shaping the creative industries.
Through small-group conversations, board members share insights that inform program development, strengthen community partnerships, and ensure the Visual Arts curriculum remains relevant, rigorous, and aligned with professional standards. The roundtables also serve as a networking opportunity for faculty and board members to exchange ideas, identify areas for collaboration, and support the success of current and future students.
Juried Design Exhibition

The Juried Design Exhibition showcases the exceptional creativity, craftsmanship, and conceptual thinking of students in the Graphic Design program. Open to all levels, this annual exhibition celebrates the best student work selected by a panel of faculty jurors.
Featuring projects across branding, typography, packaging, web, interactive, advertising, environmental, and experiential design, the exhibition highlights how students integrate research, innovation, and visual storytelling into professional-level outcomes.
More than a showcase, the Juried Design Exhibition is an opportunity for students to engage in the broader creative community—connecting classroom learning with real-world expectations and celebrating the next generation of visual communicators.

Stack Your Skills: Building a Creative Career that Evolves Workshop

In this workshop, students learn how combining fine art, graphic design, marketing, and sales creates unexpected career opportunities. Join the PGA TOUR Design Team — Eric Hanson, Rachel Staehling, and William Ruth — for an inside look at how one of the world’s most recognized sports organizations builds a visual system that performs at the highest level. Based at the PGA TOUR's global headquarters in Ponte Vedra Beach, the team leads creative direction across tournament branding, social media campaigns, environmental graphics, motion design, merchandise, broadcast assets, and large-scale fan experiences. From The Players Championship to global TOUR initiatives, their work lives across physical spaces, digital platforms, and televised moments — where every detail must communicate prestige, energy, and precision.
