Professional Profile

Prof. Gehring received her MA in Communications in 2017 from Southern New Hampshire where she was the recipient of the Outstanding Graduate Student Honor.  She earned her BS in Journalism from the University of Nebraska before beginning a long, successful career in broadcast television. She also holds a Management Certificate from Vanderbilt University and a Financial Management Certificate from Northwestern University.  Gehring worked in senior management positions for CNN, NBC, NBC Asia, the New York Times and USA Today. Gehring is the recipient of 6 Emmy Awards for television writing and producing, an Edward R. Murrow Award for outstanding digital journalism and the CBS Network Excellence in Television Award.
