Jeffrey Davitt

Jeffrey Davitt is the Senior Director of Development at Flagler College, where he has served in the Office of Institutional Advancement for nearly 20 years. In his current role, Jeff leads a major gifts team and works with alumni, parents, friends, corporations, foundations, and other partners to secure philanthropic support for the College. His fundraising focus includes major gifts and strategic initiatives supporting the School of Business, Athletics, The LEAD Fund, and Public Administration.

Jeff has played a significant role in the development of The LEAD Fund, establishing its advisory board and helping grow its philanthropic support for students. He has also overseen advisory boards for the Hospitality and Tourism Management program and the Saints Club. Earlier in his career, he secured corporate sponsorships for Flagler Athletics, the President’s Golf Classic, and WFCF.

A graduate of Flagler College, Jeff earned a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management and Business Administration, graduating summa cum laude, and later earned an MBA from the University of North Florida. He became a Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) in 2013 and has renewed the credential three times. Jeff has also held leadership positions with the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) First Coast Chapter, including serving as chapter president in 2016.

Jeff’s connection to Flagler College is also personal. It was at Flagler where he met his wife, Janine Sottile-Davitt ’08. The two met as students at the College and married in 2011. Their shared connection to Flagler has remained an important part of their lives and is one of the many reasons Jeff is passionate about helping create opportunities for future generations of Flagler students.

When he is not working for the College, Jeff enjoys playing golf and traveling, especially spending time exploring new destinations with his wife, Janine.
