It's been a summer of forward momentum for Flagler College. And as we look towards the College's bright future, one thing is certain: Our people play a very important part.

A group of Florida educators recently joined Flagler College’s Institute for Classical Education on a journey through Spain, where they encountered its ancient contributions to classical learning that are still alive today.

Jim Gilmore used to spend hours listening to his cousin tell story after story about his job as a scout for the Texas Rangers.

Flagler College said goodbye to some long-running faculty and staff members this year including:

Ben Atkinson, Assistant Professor of Natural Sciences, instructs students on topics like ecology, environmental science, sustainability, and evolutionary biology.

“Farm to Table,” a local Sophomore High Impact Practice (FlagSHIP), recently gave Flagler College students an unmatched opportunity to explore the farm-to-table movement through interactions with regional farmers, gardeners, non-profit organizers, and chefs.

Flagler College was recently awarded the Platinum Level Award for 2024 Healthiest Companies by the First Coast Worksite Wellness Council (FCWWC) for creating a culture of health and wellness within the organization. This is Flagler’s first time achieving the Platinum Level. Award recipients were honored at the Annual First Coast Worksite Wellness Conference on May 8, 2024, at the Florida Blue Conference Center.

Members of Flagler’s newly re-activated Society for Advancement of Management (SAM) chapter were recently awarded second place in a collegiate case analysis competition at SAM’s 2024 International Business Conference.
