First Day Complete is a brand new course program that provides all your required textbooks, access codes, and digital resources before classes begin at a flat, predictable rate per semester all in one place ($330 per semester for full-time students and $165 per semester for part-time students). You’re automatically enrolled when you register for eligible classes.

Register For Classes
Start by registering for classes as you normally would at my.flagler.edu. By registering for classes, you will already be signed up with the First Day program if eligible and if you choose not to opt-out. Once you register, you will automatically be enrolled in the First Day Complete program if you are eligible. If you decide not to participate, you will have the option to opt out at a later date.

Review and verify that the necessary course materials are listed as you register for your courses.

Select Fulfillment Method
You will receive an email approximately one month before classes begin, prompting you to choose your delivery preference—either in-store pickup or home delivery. The email will include a detailed breakdown of your savings and instructions on how to opt out if you prefer to purchase your course materials independently.

Receive Materials
Get notified as soon as your materials are ready and receive your materials before classes begin. Digital materials will be readily available online for you.

Return Materials at End of Semester
Easily return your physical items at the end of the semester. The deadline for returns will be the last day of final exams for the semester. You will receive email reminders of the deadline periodically.

As a full-time student, you'll pay a low rate of $330 per semester for all of your books and materials, and only $165 per semester as a part-time student.

Through this innovative program, physical books are conveniently packaged and provided to students on a rental basis, and access to digital material is done directly within Canvas, with low rates of $330 per semester for full-time students and $165 per semester for part-time students. At the end of the term, you will receive email reminders to return rented physical course materials to the bookstore.

- Your digital materials will be delivered for your course(s) within Canvas
The program provides all required textbooks, eTextbooks, lab manuals, and access codes to eligible students.
The program does not include consumable course supplies that cannot be returned and reused such as lab goggles, dissection kits, additional art supplies, materials bought outside of class requirements, etc.
All eligible students will be automatically enrolled in the First Day® Complete program as soon as you register for class.
Yes, you can! You can opt out of the program each semester during the opt-out window. The opt-out window is open before add/drop deadlines for courses (Sep. 1, 2026, for this Fall). By opting out, you will not receive your required materials in a convenient package, and access to digital content will be removed after the opt-out window closes. Options for purchasing course materials after opting out can be found on the bookstore website or other sources.
Yes, you can! To change your opt-out status and opt into the program, please follow the instructions found in the opt-out confirmation email you received after opting out. Please note you must make your final selection before class add/drop deadlines (Sep. 1, 2026, for Fall).
If you opt-out, you will be responsible for purchasing your required course materials through the bookstore or through other means.
The deadline to return all rental textbooks is the last day of final exams for the semester. You will receive reminders ahead of the rental deadline to your Flagler.edu email address.
Yes, the program provides you with the option to purchase any rental textbooks at a reduced rate during the semester.
Yes, you will still be required to return continuation course textbooks. You will be issued the same title for the next semester of the continuation course.
You will receive email notifications from the bookstore reminding you to verify your order and choose your fulfillment preference. If you do not opt-out, your materials will be held at the bookstore and your student account will be charged.
Yes, if you do not opt-out, physical materials will be held at the bookstore, digital materials will be accessed through my.flagler.edu and your student account will be charged.
If course materials have been picked up or delivered for the dropped class, those materials should be returned to the bookstore within 48 hours. If you drop a class and enroll in a different class, the bookstore will “swap” the required course materials so that you have what you need.
Yes, you will have 48 hours to return your textbooks. If you do not return the textbooks, the charges for the bundle will remain on your student account and you will be subject to a replacement and non-return processing fee.
