A: You will be sent an official Financial Aid Offer once we receive your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If you do not plan to file a FAFSA, please notify your Financial Aid Counselor as soon as possible so that your academic scholarships can be processed. The financial aid that has been awarded to you should show as a credit on your semester bill. If it does not, there are usually documents that need to be completed to finalize your financial aid. You can check your financial aid status on the financial aid portal: https://financialaid.flagler.edu. Use the menu to navigate to the “Documents” page and the “Accept Financial Aid Offer” page to ensure that you do not have pending aid or missing documents.

A: In order for your federal student loans to be deducted from your semester bill, you must accept the loan on the “Accept Financial Aid Offer” page of the financial aid portal: https://financialaid.flagler.edu. If this is your first time accepting a federal student loan, you will also need to complete federal Entrance Counseling and a Master Promissory Note (MPN) online at: https://studentaid.gov. You will not receive a new paper bill; however, your new electronic statements will reflect the credit for the federal loan once these steps have been completed.

A: We award students all of the financial aid that they are eligible to receive. If you have experienced a significant change in your family’s financial circumstances that is not reflected on the FAFSA (such as job loss, significant out-of-pocket medical expenses, property damage resulting in significant out-of-pocket expenses, etc.), you can contact your Financial Aid Counselor for information about submitting a formal financial aid appeal application. Your Financial Aid Counselor can also discuss additional financing options, such as the federal Parent PLUS Loan and private student loan options.

A: The application for the federal Parent PLUS Loan can be completed online at: https://studentaid.gov/. If this is your parent’s first time accepting a federal Parent PLUS Loan, the parent will also need to complete federal PLUS Loan Master Promissory Note (MPN) online at: https://studentaid.gov

A: The application for the federal Parent PLUS Loan can be completed by your parent online at: https://studentaid.gov/. If this is your parent’s first time accepting a federal Parent PLUS Loan, the parent will also need to complete federal PLUS Loan Master Promissory Note (MPN) online at: https://studentaid.gov. Once the Parent PLUS Loan application is processed by the federal government, it will be sent to Flagler College. We will update the Financial Aid Offer to include the loan and send a revised Financial Aid Offer notice. The student will then need to log-in to the Financial Aid Portal at https://financialaid.flagler.edu, navigate to the Accept Financial Aid Offer page, and accept the Parent PLUS Loan.

A: You must submit the Request for Certification of VA Benefits application each semester that you want to use your VA Educational Benefits. You can contact the Financial Aid Office to request a copy of this form.

A: If your ACH payment hasn't left your bank account yet, it's likely still processing. ACH payments typically take 3 to 5 business days to complete. This includes weekends and holidays, so if you initiated the payment on a Friday, it may not begin processing until the next business day. ACH transactions are processed in batches during specific intervals throughout the day, and each bank has its own cutoff time for processing transactions. If your payment was submitted after your bank's cutoff time, it may not be included in the current batch and will be processed in the next available window. If it's been more than 5 business days and your payment hasn't been posted, please contact your bank or the billing office for assistance.

A: Yes, your bill will likely change year to year—tuition usually goes up annually; residence hall costs depend on where you live, and aid is reviewed each year. It’s a standard expectation in higher education, but you’ll get detailed cost breakdowns (tuition, room, board) and updated aid amounts before each new academic year, so you can plan accordingly.

A: If you're unable to make your first payment by the due date, here's what to expect:

  • Late Fee: A $250 late payment fee will be applied to your account.
  • Account Hold: A hold will be placed on your account, which may prevent you from registering for future classes, accessing transcripts, or receiving your diploma.
  • On-Campus Housing: If you're living on campus, you will not be able to move in until your balance is paid.

If you're facing difficulties paying by the due date, please reach out to the Student Accounts office at studentaccounts@flagler.edu or call 904-819-6230. They can assist you with payment options or setting up a payment plan.

Payment Plans

A: Flagler College offers a five-month installment payment plan that divides your semester balance into equal monthly payments. This plan requires re-enrollment each semester and includes a nominal enrollment fee. Students, parents, or any responsible billing party can enroll online and agree to contract requirements with an electronic signature.

To enroll, log in to your student portal at my.flagler.edu and navigate to the Business Services section under the Students tab. There, you'll find the option to access the online payment site and enroll in the payment plan.

If you need assistance or have questions about the payment plan, please contact the Student Accounts office at studentaccounts@flagler.edu or call 904-819-6230.

A: You can sign up for Flagler College's 5-month payment plan starting July 15 for the fall semester and December 15 for the spring semester. Enrollment is required each semester and can be completed online through the Transact Payment Site. The payment plan divides your semester balance into five equal monthly payments, with the first payment due on July 15 for fall and December 15 for spring.

To enroll, log in to your student portal at my.flagler.edu, navigate to the Students tab, and click on the Business Services button. From there, you can access the Transact Payment Site to enroll in the payment plan.

If you need assistance or have questions about the payment plan, please contact the Student Accounts office at studentaccounts@flagler.edu or call 904-819-6230.

A: You don’t need to apply for monthly payments; you’re automatically eligible! Just choose the payment plan option when you set up your billing or payment preferences. It’s a convenient way to spread your balance over multiple months without a formal application process.

A: If you start the 5-month payment plan after August 1st, no worries—it’s still available for you to sign up! Just keep in mind that the regular schedule begins on July 15th, with the next payment due August 15th, so your first two payments may be close together to get you caught up. It's a great option to help spread out your costs, even if you're joining a bit later.

Meal Plans

A: Flagler College offers several meal plan options to fit different student needs:

  • All Access VIP – $3,910
  • Unlimited Meal Plan – $3,755 (Required for all first-year residential students)
  • 15 Meal Plan – $3,000
  • 10 Meal Plan – $2,245
  • Sebastian Meal Plan – $2,245

First-year residential students are required to be on the Unlimited Meal Plan, which provides the most access to on-campus dining. Other plans offer flexibility and may be better suited for upperclassmen or commuter students.

A: As a commuter student, whether a meal plan is cost-effective depends on how often you're on campus and if you have access to kitchen facilities at home. If you're on campus frequently, a meal plan can save you time and money compared to eating out daily. You can choose from commuter-specific plans or residential plans depending on your needs. Commuter plans are often more flexible and can be a better fit for students who don’t stay on campus full-time. However, if you have access to a kitchen, cooking your own meals may be more affordable. Consider the cost of the plan versus off-campus meals, and how much convenience matters to you. To find the meal plan that best fits your needs, visit: https://flagler.campusdish.com/MealPlans/FindYourFit.
