Tiffany Ohlson

Assistant Professor

Dr. Ohlson has experience in literacy education, professional learning, school improvement, and educational reform. She has a strong background in curriculum and instruction related to students’ reading and writing development. Dr. Ohlson has served in the role of literacy specialist, interventionist, and instructional coach at the school and state levels. She provided support in the form of professional development and coaching to schools and districts in using data to differentiate instruction for all learners. She has collaborated with researchers and practitioners to implement research-based literacy practices for at-risk children, with an emphasis on data-driven instruction, the science of reading and instruction using nonfiction texts.
