Professional Profile

Dr. Haser was appointed the Interim Director of Lifelong Learning and Corporate Training in January 2023. She joined Flagler College in August 2021 as the education department chair (Tallahassee), education department assessment/accreditation coordinator for the Tallahassee and St. Augustine campuses, and professor. During the spring 2022 semester, she oversaw the education department's FL DOE reaccreditation process. She has nearly 25 years of experience in higher education as a department head, department chair, and faculty member at Robert Morris University and Marymount University (Arlington, VA). Teacher preparation program accreditation, teacher education administration, and higher education program development and program assessment are her areas of expertise.

She has authored or co-authored numerous articles, including the 2022 article, "Unlikely Additions: One Institute of Higher Education Plus Two Early Childhood Education Care Centers Equal Investment in Adult Learners". This phenomenological research was a result of a PA state government early childhood grant and was recognized in 2021 by Robert Morris University (RMU) Provost as the most impactful research by a team of faculty. Dr. Haser's primary role in the grant was in program development and data collection. Dr. Haser has presented at regional, national, and international conferences and was a Fulbright Lecturer in 2002 at Comenius University, Bratislava, Slovakia. In 2007, she was awarded the Marymount faculty CIEE study abroad grant and spent part of that summer in London, England where she participated in CIEE lectures while studying the private and public British school system. Her background includes course, program, and curriculum development in study aboard, student teaching aboard, service/learning abroad experiences, teacher education, and adult learning. Her undergraduate student teaching experience was in Appalachia WVA. Her career started as a third, fourth, and ESE teacher in the Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) in VA. She was selected by the NJ DOE as a participate in a US-Russian teacher exchange program while a third grade teacher and spent six-weeks in the Ural Mountains teaching US History and culture to Russian students.
