Dana Hart

Dr. Dana L. Hart is an Associate Professor at Flagler College, where she teaches most of the courses in the financial sequence. Dr. Hart earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Louisiana–Monroe and her master’s in taxation, as well as her Ph.D. in accountancy, from the University of Mississippi.  

Before beginning a career in academia, Dr. Hart worked in public accounting as a tax practitioner and software support specialist.  She maintains an active CPA license in the State of Florida and is involved in several educational and professional organizations such as the Florida Institute of Public Accountants, the American Institute of CPAs, and the Southeast Case Research Association. 

Dr. Hart conducts behavioral research on corporate governance, accounting education, tax reporting, and compliance issues.  Her publications include the Journal of Corporate Accounting and Finance, the IMA Educational Case Journal, the Quarterly Review of Business Disciplines, and the CPA Journal.
