Psychology Interest

Psychology

Our Psychology program gives you the flexibility to form your own degree. Our curriculum emphasizes psychology as a basic and applied science. We also offer categories so you can focus on what matters to you.  You can also choose from on-campus, online, hybrid, and night classes to suit your personal goals.

Program Requirements

Flagler College offers a Psychology minor and a major that leads to a bachelor's degree.  Both will challenge you to think critically and independently while exploring research questions, methods, and ethical standards.

Hybrid Evening Program

Students will take four classes in 16 weeks, divided into two per eight weeks. All courses are face-to-face in the evenings, online, or hybrid for the convenience of the working professional.

Practical Experience

Once you equip your new skills, you can take on various careers or head straight into graduate studies. To get the most out of your time at Flagler, we suggest you choose independent research and internship experiences.

Once you are a junior or senior, have maintained a 3.0 grade point average (GPA), and have permission from your academic advisor, you can apply for internship positions.

Internship hours do not count toward a central area of concentration or minor areas of study in social sciences.

You'll also get a broad-based education and develop core values like citizenship with integrity and thoughtful stewardship within a respectful and inclusive community. At Flagler, we're dedicated to educating the whole person.  We foster intellectual, social, and personal transformation in our students.

Career Outcomes

Psychologists build successful careers in a wide variety of settings, including medical and health clinics, schools and universities, and even fields as diverse as law, urban planning, and advertising. Recent U.S. Department of Labor surveys have projected a steady increase in the demand for well-trained, socially-responsive psychologists.

You can do plenty of other things you can do with a major or minor in psychology, too. Click the link below to learn more.
