Professional Profile

Leslie Gordon is a forward-thinking, transformational leader who inspires, supports, and provides exceptional leadership to undergraduate students and local non-profit boards. She is gifted in cultivating and nurturing relationships with diverse groups of stakeholders and board members.

Leslie has been a Professor of Business Administration since 2001, and currently teaches students in the undergraduate program at Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida. In early 2017, she created a unique Consumer Behavior course where she teaches students how to research, evaluate, and recommend marketing strategies for local business owners, corporate managers, and non-profit leaders. Prior to teaching at Flagler, she taught numerous Business Management courses at Florida State College at Jacksonville and Jones College, where she received “Teacher of the Semester” recognition. She is passionate about helping her students grow both professionally and personally.

Leslie currently serves on the Florida Theatre’s Board of Governors and on the Board’s Executive Committee in the role of Secretary. In addition, she serves on the Florida Theatre’s Marketing and Organizational committees. Previously, she served as Board President of the Jacksonville Golf and Country Club, providing oversight for a $6 million budget and a club serving 900 members. She also enjoyed being a mentor for Take Stock in Children.

Leslie had the honor of working for the Lazzara Family Foundation, where she led development and implementation activities as the Office Manager. Early in her career, she held successful stints as a Senior Account Manager for Forte Communications, an advertising agency in Cleveland, Ohio. In addition, she was a Senior Sales Representative for Honeywell, Inc., where she earned both regional and national recognition for outstanding sales performance.

She holds an MBA from the University of North Florida, and a BS in Marketing from Penn State University. She is a graduate of the Steven Covey Leadership Principles Program.
