Describe your central passion(s) and how you hope to carry that into your post-grad plans:

My central passion lies in videography. I love filming and editing videos to fit what is necessary to relay a message that stimulates enough thought or emotion in an audience. I hope to carry this passion post-grad as I continue to make content for clients that reach out to me and local businesses that I work with to promote their products and ideas.

What (or who) helped inspire your passion in this area (or areas)?

The friends I have made through Flagler have definitely inspired my passion in the field of media production. Most of the friends I have made at Flagler are into photography or some kind of fine arts, so I often get a lot of support from them and seek advice about their respective creative skills. They have helped me see my worth as someone who likes to film and helped me grow as a videographer through their constructive feedback and participation in my projects.

Briefly tell us the story of one stand-out memory from your time at Flagler that will always make you smile:

One standout memory I have from my time at Flagler was going to my friends’ dorms during my junior year and doing tarot card readings about how our lives were going to be, watching movies, and eating snacks. It’s a very simple memory, but it makes me smile because it would start out very innocent and normal but then we’d always end up doing something crazy like bleach our eyebrows together by the end of the night.

What academic resources, experiences, or mentors proved most valuable throughout your Flagler experience?

Professor Tivey was a great mentor to me as I pursued creative writing. I never thought I could write as strongly as I did in her courses, and she provides such an open and comfortable space for students to express themselves. I was definitely able to utilize this safe space to come out of my shell and write about personal things in a way that was healing for me. I will always value the education I got from being in her classes, whether it was a technical skill or a new life perspective.

What is one piece of advice or lesson you learned about the college experience that you wish you could tell your freshman year self?

If I could go back and tell my freshman-year-self something, it would be to cherish the amount of free time you have, whether you are utilizing it to spend time with friends or sitting in your bed watching TikToks. Before you know it, you’re a senior and have too much classwork and little time to spend with yourself.

Tell us about what you’re up to next! Any cool experiences, professional positions, or unique opportunities you have lined up after graduation?

After graduation, I am planning on staying locally in St. Augustine to build my portfolio more with some local jobs until I can move to a bigger city like New York in a year.
