Program Requirements

A major or minor in Cinematic Arts focuses on one main goal: helping you discover your voice as a storyteller. Cinematic Arts students can learn to create in a variety of mediums, including video, film, visual art, and theatrical performance. You'll carve your own unique path with work that touches on several subject areas.

At Flagler, we believe the most powerful learning comes from blending theory and practice. Students take a variety of courses from every department housed in the School of Creative Arts and Letters to provide a foundation in five specific areas.

  • Design & Animation
  • Film & Television Production
  • Writing & Storytelling for the Screen
  • Performance
  • History & Theory of Film-based/Performance Arts

Every student at Flagler College also gets a broad-based education with Core, our groundbreaking general education program. At Flagler, we're dedicated to educating the whole person. We foster intellectual, social, and personal transformation in our students.
