As a Criminology major or minor, you'll take a journey into law and the criminal justice system. You'll uncover the causes and consequences of crime. You'll think deeply about social responses to it. Our caring faculty will guide you through it all in small class sizes in the heart of historic downtown St. Augustine, just minutes from the beach.
Your criminology studies can also prepare you for many different criminal justice jobs. If you're already in the field, your degree may give you more chances to advance.

Program Requirements
As a student in the Criminology program, you'll explore and discover the nature, causes, control, and prevention of criminal behavior in people and in society.
Criminology includes:
- The examination of evidence
- Hereditary, psychological, and social causes of crime
- Models of investigation and conviction
- The effectivness of differing styles of punishment, rehabilitation, and corrections
