Shannon Murray

Shannon Murray serves as the Director of Women of Vision at Flagler College.  As the descendant of a family tied to the railroad, her interest in Flagler’s legacy led her not only to attend Flagler College but later serve as an advisory board member for her alma mater before accepting a full-time position.  In her role at Flagler, she develops and supports the vast number of fundraising activities that drive the scholarship fund for young women attending Flagler.  Her responsibilities within the Office of Institutional Advancement include donor cultivation, stewardship and recruitment efforts to significantly increase constituent involvement and funds raised for Flagler College.  In addition, she is heavily involved with community outreach including the facilitation of both public and private events.

Prior to joining Flagler College, Shannon began her professional career with CSX Transportation, taking on various roles within the Fortune 250 Class I Railroad organization that focused on management and executive compensation programs and employee engagement within the Human Resources function and beyond.  Shannon is a long-time St. Augustine resident and has deep pride in being able to share her love of the oldest city with her husband and children.
