Flagler College Volunteers
Flagler College Volunteers (FCV) is a student-led program that offers a range of volunteer and leadership opportunities that benefit our local community.
FCV partners with organizations such as
- The Boys and Girls Club
- SAFE Animal Shelter
- Home Again Saint Johns
- The Saint Augustine Center for Living
FCV also coordinates two large scale programs: Alternative Breaks and Reach Out Raise Up Day of Service.
Reach Out Raise Up Day of Service
Students, faculty, staff and alumni help nearly a dozen local organizations annually with projects, ranging from cleaning and landscaping to office organization and meal preparation. This one-day event gives students the opportunity to be introduced to a variety of local non-profit organizations so they can identify how to be of service during their time at Flagler.
Alternative Breaks
The mission of FCV Alternative Breaks is to immerse students in different cultures, heightened social awareness, and to advocate life-long social action through service on a local, regional, national and international level.
- Past trips include
- Pastaza, Ecuador
- Colorado
- Eustis, Florida
- Key West, Florida
- Biloxi, Mississippi/ New Orleans, Louisiana.
Volunteer Activities
Other than the two bigger scale programs, FCV coordinates smaller scale events on a regular basis.
- Dining with Dignity
- Dog Walking with S.A.F.E.
- Buddy Ball
- Community Clean-ups
The Flagler community is dedicated to serving this beautiful city in any way we can.
