The Division of Marking and Communication encompasses five essential offices designed to enhance the College’s image and reputation and strengthen relationships with audiences both on and off-campus.
Who We Are

Carol Branson is vice president for marketing and communication at Flagler College. With an extensive background in branding, digital media, communication journeys, and the user experience, she works with her team and their unique backgrounds to advance the image and reputation of the College. Prior to coming to Flagler, Carol held leadership roles at Hanover College and Indiana University. The Division of Marketing and Communications at Flagler College includes the college website, social media, publications, branding and brand experience/strategy, government and external relations, Flagler’s Legacy and historic tours and WFCF, Flagler College radio.

Morgan Goodwill serves as the Assistant to the Vice President of Marketing and Communication, and the Vice President of Human Resources and Chief Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Officer. She is a thoughtful creative and strategist, who provides support to the Division of Marketing Communication.

Holly Hill
Senior Director of Marketing, Communication, and Brand Strategy HHill@flagler.edu 904-826-8636As Senior Director of Marketing, Communication, and Brand Strategy, Holly oversees the College's marketing and communication programs while ensuring a successful college-wide brand strategy. She provides oversight and implementation of the Flagler College brand across traditional and digital platforms to raise the college’s visibility and enhances its reputation among key constituents including prospective students and parents, students, donors, employees, industry partners, and community stakeholders.

At Flagler, Dan is the WFCF Station Manager where he manages WFCF, a 10,000-watt noncommercial educational FM broadcast radio station and an iHeartRadio station licensed by the Federal Communications Commission. He oversees a staff of over 50 students and community volunteers. Dan is also a specialist in broadcast radio regulatory compliance and an instructor of Radio Workshop and Media Management Practicum at Flagler College. Dan serves on the leadership team for the Division of Marketing and Communication.

Samantha Palmer
Director of Brand Experience and Merchandise Licensing SPalmer@flagler.edu 904-823-3378Samantha Palmer is the Director of Brand Experience and Merchandise Licensing and is part of the leadership team for the Division of Marketing and Communications. Samantha is a creative thinker who provides College-wide insights in creating an experience through intentional use and protection of the brand.
Samantha is responsible for the leadership of the brand experience to engage, inspire and entertain our audience by creating exciting, unique, and memorable experiences, while maintaining the Flagler College brand and its traditions; to create an emotional connection with all of our audiences.

Beth Sweeny is the Director of External and Government Relations and is a member of the leadership team for the Division of Marketing and Communications. A strategic thinker who develops, integrates, and executes successful public relations, governmental relations, and media relations strategies that support the mission and priorities of the College.

Brian Thompson is the Director of Publications. As the director, he produces the award-winning Flagler College magazine and other publications. Brian also serves on the leadership team for the Division of Marketing and Communication. In addition to the work he performs with publications, he plays a lead role in the College's crisis communication strategy. Brian also advises the online student newspaper, The Gargoyle, and is an adjunct professor in the Communication Department.

Mike Horn works as the Director of Web Strategy and is responsible for planning, developing, executing, prioritizing, and coordinating the web strategy as an integral part of the College’s marketing and communication functions. As the director, he provides leadership by ensuring brand consistency and uniformity for the College’s online presence (internal and external) in support of strategic institutional goals including student recruitment, fundraising, alumni engagement, institutional reputation, and crisis communication.

Nikki Liberatore is the Assistant Director of Brand Experience and Historical Tours. As Assistant Director, Nikki assists with the leadership for all Flagler’s Legacy stores, oversight of daily operations, and supervises staff as well as manages the Historic Tour program. In her role, she assists the Director of Brand Experience and Merchandise Licensing in brand experience initiatives.

As Flagler's videographer, Jimmy helps bring the college's campus-wide brand strategy to motion and vision. He helps the Division of Marketing and Communication with the creation of digital media to portray the Core Values of Flagler College through its brand identity. A Florida native, Jimmy left the Jacksonville area to earn his degree in Humanities at Florida State University where he developed skills and talents for media production and communications. Utilizing quality communication skills and a creative eye, Jimmy brings quality content creation to the campus.

Lucas Scotch
Coordinator for Marketing and Communications, Division of Continuing Education LScotch@flagler.eduAs the Coordinator of Marketing and Communications for the Division of Continuing Education, Lucas serves as the link between it and the Division of Marketing and Communication. He creates the strategy and content for his division's marketing and communication efforts and ensures a successful college-wide brand experience for the programs outside the traditional four-year bachelor's degrees. Lucas uses his analytical background and creative thinking to provide insight and direction as the Division of Continuing Education continues to grow.
