Udall Scholarship
Overview
The Udall Foundation awards scholarships to current undergraduates for leadership, public service, and commitment to issues related to American Indian nations or to the environment.
- Areas of focus are:
- Tribal policy
- Native health care policy
- Environmental issues
Award
- The Foundation expects to award 50 scholarships of up to $5,000 and 50 honorable mentions
- Must be a current sophomore or junior to apply.
Requirements
- Current undergraduate with sophomore or junior standing.
- Commitment to working in an area of focus defined by the Udall Foundation.
Qualifications for a competitive application
- Demonstrated commitment to working with Native Americans or Native Alaskans.
- For Tribal policy and Native health policy, you or your parents/grandparents must be enrolled in a federally recognized tribe.
- Environmental issue scholarships do not require being a member of a tribe.
- Interest in conservation, environmental stewardship, or environmental policy
- Leadership Potential.
- Strong Academic record.
