Princeton in Africa (Piaf)


Princeton in Africa develops young leaders committed to Africa’s advancement by offering yearlong fellowship opportunities with a variety of organizations that work across the African continent.

Work placements can be in international development, health, education, social enterprises, environment & conservation, or agricultural development.


  • 50 fellowship awards, which will include:
    • On the ground expenses, including housing and living stipend.
    • Medical, medical evacuation, and security evacuation insurance.
    • Housing and meals for pre-departure orientation for all Fellows.
    • Mid-year retreat in Africa (including partial travel grant for travel to and from the retreat location).


  • Have obtained a bachelor’s degree prior to departure.
