September 11 to October 20, 2017
The Crisp-Ellert Art Museum and Flagler College are delighted to announce Jamilah Sabur as our CEAM Artist Resident for Fall 2017. Over the past several years, Sabur has developed a research-based practice, and works across various disciplines, including performance, video, and installation. Her research interests are far reaching, but tend to focus on social, economic, and environmental justice issues that are critical to understanding the dynamics of locations such as South Florida, along with the greater Caribbean region.
During her stay, Sabur will work closely with Flagler College students and faculty, along with St. Augustine community, through class visits and independent projects, and will give a public presentation that will be free and open to the public, to be announced later in September.
