Welcome to Campus
There's been a lot of information sent to you this summer, but we have you covered!
Move-In Day
You are assigned move-in times based on your residential floor and building. List of move-in times can be found here on the first page for the orientation booklet at the bottom of the page.
Help Us Keep Things Moving
Please don’t arrive earlier than your assigned move-in time. When you arrive for move-in, please know that you may be waiting in line behind other cars for a bit as we move families through the lots.

Directions
You can find directions to campus, airport shuttle information, local hotel recommendations, and a campus map here.
Parking
A temporary parking pass was sent with your Orientation packet. Please display this pass clearly on your dashboard. If you need passes for additional cars, we will have extra copies to distribute when you pull up for move in. You will have 30 minutes to unload your car (and plenty of help will be available!) and you will then move your car to the college’s parking garage on Malaga Street
Back To TopWe ask that you label your belongings with your first initial, last name, and room number so that our move-in helpers can efficiently get items to your room.
Downloadable moving label
Florida weather in August is very hot and humid and we often experience afternoon rain. Dress in cool, comfortable clothing and bring an umbrella. A water bottle is good to have on hand and we will have water stations available. The residence halls are often a little warmer than normal on move-in day with the doors open for move-in. They will cool down within the first 24 hours. All events that day are casual, so please feel free to come to all meetings, meals, and events as you are.
Back To TopDining Services
The Bistro in the Ringhaver Student Center and POD Market at The Commons will be open until 3pm if you need to grab a meal or snack. Dinner will be served in both the Dining Hall and the Student Center starting at 4pm.
Mailroom
The mailroom will be open on Saturday from 8am to 4pm for students to pick up any items they may have shipped down ahead of move-in. Please have a photo ID on hand at pick-up.
The Flagler College Bookstore, located on the first floor of the Ringhaver Student Center, will be open from 9am-6pm on Saturday and Sunday for students to pick-up or purchase books. The bookstore will also have some commonly requested items on hand in case you need to pick up anything you forgot! Don’t forget you can save time by reserving your books.
Back To TopOur Students Accounts and Financial Aid Offices will have representatives on hand in their offices if you need to meet with them to settle up your account or ask questions. In addition, a representative from the college’s health insurance plan will be available in the Hanke Hall lobby.
Back To TopOrientation Sessions
There are two identical Parent/Family Orientation sessions scheduled on Saturday, at 12:00pm and 3:30pm, that will introduce you to many of the key administrators on campus that students will work with throughout the year, and will answer some common questions that families have as their students start their Flagler journey. We would encourage parents and families to attend one of these sessions.
Dinner
From 4pm-6:30pm families can join their student for dinner and a final room visit, then we will ask that you depart campus and leave them in our care – we promise we’ll take good care of them, and there are some great places downtown for you to celebrate your student’s successful transition to college!

Campus Updates
Review the list below for changes that have been made on our campus.
Begining August 1st the College passed a 100 percent smoke-free policy that prohibits the use of all smoking products including cigarettes, loose-leaf tobacco, chewing tobacco, and simulated smoking products, such as Juuls, e-cigarettes and vapes. You can review the full policy and find answers to frequently asked questions here.
Back To TopFlagler College has adopted a new attendance policy that is effective for the Fall 2018 semester. This new policy allows faculty independence to establish specific guidelines for attendance in their courses. All faculty will discuss their specific policy with students on the first day of class, emphasizing in particular the relationship between attendance, interaction in the classroom, and evaluation. View the full policy and find answers to frequently asked questions here.
Back To TopStarting in the 2018 Fall semester, residents of Ponce de Leon Hall, Lewis House, and Cedar Hall, will enjoy "Interhall" visitation privileges between the hours of 2 PM and 2 AM, seven days a week. Additionally, the F.E.C. Towers will have an "Open Visitation" policy that will resemble that of Abare Hall.
Back To TopReminders
As we dive into a new school year, keep these things in mind.
As a reminder, the Passport Co-Curricular program requires that students attend:
- Three events per semester during Freshman and Sophomore years (under 60-credit hours);
- Two events per semester during Junior and Senior years (over 60-credit hours).”
- Each academic year, one of these events must be diversity related.
Once you get to campus, make sure you check in at my.flagler.edu to let us know you've arrived! Please note: If you are living on campus, this process is in addition to the move-in day check-in.
